This is a 60 row Warrior’s Breastplate, perfect for dancing or re-enactments. Or you can display this with your Native American collection or decor. This piece is made in traditional fashion using 4 inch genuine Buffalo Horn Hair Pipes, genuine Turquois nuggets, glass crow beads & real nickle coated metal beads, (nickle stays shiney longer, no rust or tarnishing). It’s decorated with 2 1.5 inch highly polished abalone discs with natural fur ermine tails. The leather is genuine buckskin, soft & supple. The hand cut fringe is long & plush & nearly 7 inches ! The ties around the neck & wasit are also buckskin, braided for strength & comfort. The entire breastplate measures about 12″ wide(not including the fringe) & about 22 inches tall(not including the drapes). You won’t be disappointed with this one !!
This breastplate is made by artist Gary ‘Redwing’ Hunt. Gary is not an enrolled tribal member of the Cherokee or Sioux nations, but is descendant of each. Therefore, no legal claim of Native American authenticity may be claimed. But his native spirit is evident in the quality & style of his work.
