This is the HOPI DEER DANCER SPIRIT MASK by popular & sought after artists La Ne Ayo of the Creek Nation. The warriors spirit seems to be captured here with combination of animal pelts including beaver, coyote & red fox. A real to life size ceraminc mask hand painted & set in the pelt with feathers & Red Fox tails at either side for drops. A medium sized leather medicine bag hangs below the face alongside some braided horse hair. They are exceptionally unique & life like. The workmanship is magnificent ! Pelt coloring, beads, feathers & minor decorations may vary as each one is a unique creation.
