This is a traditional, buckskin leather CORN BAG made by Cherokee artist Ondie. This bag is bigger than it looks in the picture . . it measures 10" tall by 6.5" wide with another 10" of beautiful fringe. It is decorated with a beaded medallion or rosette with a turtle. The carry strap measures about 26" in length. These bags were traditionally worn at the waistline during ceremony and the dancer carries corn meal in this bag which he sprinkles on a set path or to the four directions or on the dancers. A great traditional bag to carry your personal items.
