Kachinas are representations of the spiritual essence of everything in the real world. The dolls depict men dressed in Kachina masks for dances and ritual in order to take on the spirit of the Kachina. There are over 400 different Kachina spirits. The Kachinas were given as gifts to the women and children and hung in homes to keep present the spirit of the Kachina. Our Kachinas are individually hand created & therefore may vary slightly.


The Ahote is Navajo made & appears to be derived from
a Plains Indian because he wears a long trailing eagle feather headdress. The Kachina appears in the Mixed Dance and is presumed to be a good hunter.  He is 10" tall & dressed in genuine leather & fur. Choose from 5 colors. Please select color BEFORE adding to cart.
